Enrolling Your Child at NVLA
New students may enroll at the Kindergarten and first grade levels, as space is available. Enrollment is open to any California students with preference given to siblings of current students. Our enrollment lottery is designed to create a balance of 50% English speaking and 50% Spanish speaking children in each classroom. A six-year commitment to the Two-Way Immersion Program is the minimum required to achieve the linguistic and academic goals.
Parents wishing to enroll their child should come directly to NVLA to fill out the registration packet during the NVLA open enrollment period (see below).
Students who are not selected in the lottery are added to a waiting list and may be called at any time space becomes available.
All parents are strongly encouraged to make a school visit before deciding to enroll their child. Visits are held on Thursday mornings in the Fall and are hosted by the Principal, Parent Liaison and NVLA parents.
